For the benefit of the Philippine National Red Cross, PACTS of AIM (Philanthropic Activities Society) has taken the lead in organizing “Blood for Thought” -- a blood donation awareness campaign to be held on November 6, 2009 at the AIM campus. The event calls on the socially conscious youth of the Philippines to take action. They can begin by participating in the November 6 event that will include a daylong blood donation activity, health education and vendor fair, leading up to an evening outdoor benefit concert, featuring up-and-coming bands from the Manila music scene.
The event will also provide a Recovery Suite for blood donors, stocked with replenishing treats and refreshments from various corporate sponsors, along with free concert admission. For all other attendees, the concert will cost P100 admission, which will also benefit the Philippine National Red Cross.
“Blood for Thought” is being supported by the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT). Interested participants may get in touch with Laurice Alaan, MBA student (lalaan.mba2009_b3@student.aim.edu; 0917.623.2980).
