Indonesian Daily Cites AIM

The Jakarta Post, the number one English daily newspaper in Indonesia , published on January 21 a supplement on Higher Education. AIM alumna Melati Adidhamayanti was featured in the story: “Southeast Asia: Choice for studying abroad.” Three Indonesians who have studied abroad, including Melati, were interviewed for the story. Melati talked about her fulfilling experience at AIM in 2005-2006 when she took her Master in Development Management (MDM) degree. In the story, she said that “I was embraced by the diversity not only from the melting pot society I found on campus, but no less important from the group work that trained us to be better problem solvers.”

The story likewise reinforces the advantage of the Philippines as an English-speaking country. It said: “In addition to the role of English as the medium of instruction, coupled with increasing globalization, studying at renowned universities in Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines is indeed an affordable, prestigious education.
