S.A. Popcorn Club Brings Back Movie Night

by Neeraj Agarwala, MM 2011

Fridays would definitely be something to look forward to as the S.A. Popcorn Club brings back Movie Night in AIM. Every Friday, The Popcorn Club will provide a selection of movies that students can choose from and the movie with the highest votes will be featured. Last February 11, 2011 marked the first of the activities Kevin John (MM 2011) and I initiated. The film, “The First Cut” received an overwhelming response as it garnered a total of 75 votes.

With the help of the SSAR, we were able to make the necessary arrangements. The movie night became a social occasion for students to relax and enjoy with friends and colleagues in the Zen Garden. It was quite exciting to see people laugh, cry, and even dance together to some melodious Bollywood songs from the film.

Our goal is to set a trend here at AIM, that every Friday, people can come, watch and enjoy a good movie with friends. It also gives us students to involve ourselves in activities outside class and perhaps, get a chance to apply what we learn in the case rooms.
